What
Branding project for the 4th International Conference of Young Doctors in Hispanism, carried at University College London in May 2014. The brief consisted of the creation of different elements such as posters, badges, call for papers and diplomas, all of them following a consistent appearance.
Why
As I was approached for this project it was very clear that the conference would greatly benefit from having solid, repeating aesthetics that reinforced the nature of the event. Elements like the posters and badges were present through the whole three days that the conference took.
How
Prior to the digital work we made an assessment of what the previous conferences’ organizers did in terms of visual identity and how we could set this one apart in that regard. Simple, geometric shapes and a two color pallet were the starting point, along with the use of 3D text for titles and Futura for the copy, aided by a flexible grid.
